Here are some of the pictures I took at the Buffalo Ultimate Summer League on July 25, 2007.  You can order prints from Shutterfly, or talk to me about getting copies of the files.

Due to overwhelming demand for more ultimate in Buffalo, plan on playing pickup 6-8 PM on Tuesdays in Delaware Park. I have no idea if there is space for us there, but we’ll just have to go out and see.

The first disc design inspired the following submission. We now have two competing designs for discs. Comments welcome on both designs, just use the comment box below. If you’d like to submit a design on make a private comment use the “contact us” page.

We’ve been getting a lot of inquiries about the availability of “official” BUSL discs. Our response has always been, “if you’d like us to get discs printed send us a design.” Well someone took us up on our offer. The design below was recently submitted. The designer welcomes comments and suggestions about the design. We’ll leave this page up for comments and suggestions for a few weeks. Submit comments using the comment button.

We found new fields!! The location of all summer league games is now on Tifft Street- We’re not playing at Front Park. The new fields are near the Tifft Nature Preserve, see the map below. The fields are officially called George Hartman Park, they’re easy to get to by car (and are just off the waterfront bike path). They’re on the north side of the street, take Rt. 5 to Fuhrmann Blvd. THe fields are on your left soon after you turn onto Tifft Street. The fields have lights + bleachers!!

    Summer League

Just to let everyone know, the registration deadline for the summer league is May 21st. Sign up now if you haven’t, tell all your friends if you have, and have them tell all their friends too!

I agree, the satellite makes the site look good. And the location is a little better than Front Park if we decide to go with it (both because of wind issues and location centrality).

looks good from the satellite photo… lights on it also.

I just wanted to let you guys know about the Toronto Ultimate Festival being run, once again this year, by the Toronto Central Sport and Social Club. We just wanted to drop you guys a quick line to remind you all about it and send out a personal invitation to you and any of the Buffalo Ultimate League members to come out and join us at Sunnybrook Park in North Toronto (Eglinton & Leslie) on May 12 & 13.
Hopefully this event generates some interest amongst some of your Ultimate enthusiasts; we would love to have a team, or perhaps even a few teams, representing the Buffalo Ultimate League. We will be offering three divisions to choose from; open, women’s & mixed.
Please let me know if you have any questions, and I encourage you to check out our event calendar for more details on the event: www.tcssc.com/tuf/
Thanks and I really hope to see some of you there!
    Andrew
